The university campus, covering 208 hectares, is located by the Taihu Lake, a national scenic area in the south of Wuxi. It was designed and built to demonstrate the concept of an “eco-campus”, and is known for its elegant architecture and beautiful natural features. The Digital Energy Management Platform based on IOT technology and power reserve and management systems was established to utilize the university’s water and electricity resources effectively, thereby providing the university with a path towards sustainable development in the near future. The university was honored with the first prize for campus planning by the Ministry of Education and it is among the top fifty most satisfactory university campuses in China .
