On the evening of 25 May 2016, a fabulous fashion show was held at Wuxi Wanda Cultural Tourism City. This fashion show consists of the graduation design works of students from School of Textile and Clothing of Jiangnan University and the works of the visiting students from Birmingham City University. It has the presence of Professor Liang Hui’e, Secretary of CPC School Committee, Professor Wang Hongfu, Director of the Costume Department, Xu Yaping, a clothing design teacher, and Professor Colin Gale, doctoral supervisor and Dean of School of Fashion and Textiles of UK Birmingham City University, and other leaders and guests.

The theme of this show is “No explanation--- Don't want to be defined, Don't need to explain”, conveying the message that the new generation of fashion designers don’t want to follow the popular trend, hoping to use their own ideas and clothing to interpret their own philosophy which is full of the spirit of youthful vitality.

The fashion show is divided into four parts. The first part is "creative clothes", mainly consisting of creative works of design which have their own unique style. The second part is "practical clothes", mainly consisting of works of design which have a sense of design and suit to wear in different occasions in life. The third part is "formal dress", mainly consisting of dresses which show the woman's unique aesthetic style for parties and other high-end occasions. The fourth part is the works of British students, mainly consisting of works by five young designers from Birmingham City University.

In the joint performance of catwalk, the designers through their works demonstrated the outcomes of four years learning, winning warm applauses from the guests and audience. The display culminated in the joint curtain call of the participating models and designers, and everyone stood up to applaud for them.
