With the coming of 2015 Christmas, School of International Education at Jiangnan University organized a fascinating and joyous Christmas Amusement Gathering for all the international students at the University. This event is held in the principle of teaching through lively activities, subtly edifying the international students with Chinese language and culture in entertainment and interactive games.

Professor Zhou Huiming, Dean of School of International Education, delivered an opening speech, earnestly encouraging all the international student at the University to learn Chinese well, communicate more with classmates, cherish the study time and appreciate the subtlety and essence of Chinese culture. The party consisting of 12 programs, including both the team-spirit-themed group dance Cups and the light-hearted chorus like If You Are Happy, Come on Everybody, Love You Forever, etc., in addition to the interactive games like Shake it Off, Radish Down, etc. and the hot dance All I Want for Christmas is You. Besides, a “Santa Claus” from Finland was present to give gifts to everyone on the spot. With different short stories in the game “Know Wuxi Through 10 Chinese Characters”, the international students unconsciously fell in love with Wuxi. The humorous host and the happy international students audience created a harmonious and joyous family-like atmosphere. Due to the active interaction of the participating international students, the two-hour party was filled with joy and pleasure.

In recent years, the School of International Education will hold similar activities before the New Year, such as the Christmas Amusement Gathering, the New Year Reception Party, etc. to create a relaxing and pleasant learning atmosphere for the international students, make them feel the warmth of the university as a big family and consolidate the base of friendship.
