According to an official document (RSBf NO.48, 2014)—Announcement of Approving to Establish 291 Postdoctoral Research Centers Such as Liaoning University Philosophy, ETC., jointly issued by China’s Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, and National Postdoctoral Management Committee, the Environmental Science and Engineering Postdoctoral Research Center of Jiangnan University (JU) is on the list of newly approved postdoctoral research centers.

With the attention of JU leaders, the accomplishment is based on the joint efforts of the School of Environment and Civil Engineering and JU’s Department of Human Resources.

The establishment of the Postdoctoral research center is a basis for postdoctoral fellows’ research work in the related field and will play an important role in promoting the development of Postdoctoral research, and facilitating industry-college cooperation and faculty construction.

So far, all of JU’s doctor degree programs have been set up postdoctoral research centers, respectively in the areas of Food Science and Engineering, Light Industry Technology and Engineering, Control Science and Engineering, Textile Science and Engineering, Chemical and Engineering and the newly approved one.
