According toJiangsu Jiaoyu Report, State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO), through evaluation, recently published the results of the sixteenth China Patent Award. Jiangsu Province is ranked NO.1 with 9 Jiangsu-based institutions obtaining in total 12 patents on the Award list, which account for 23% in number of patents obtained by China’s institutions of higher learning.
It is reported that 3 patents of JU won the award, namely, “A Product by α- ketoglutarate Engineered Yeast and its Construction Method” completed by JU’s School of Bioengineering obtaining a gold medal, “A Type of Frozen Dough and its Producing Method and Application” and “A kind of Edible Vegetable Oil Clay Adsorbent for Decoloration” by School of Food Science obtaining Outstanding Patents for Inventions Award.
Other Jiangsu-based institutions or enterprises invested by some of them, including Nanjing University, Southeast University, Nanjing University of Science and Technology, Hohai University, China University of Mining and Technology, Jiangsu University, Yangzhou University and Nanjing Institute of Technology also achieved Outstanding Patents for Inventions Awards.
China Patent Award is a national prominent award focusing on the evaluation of the quality of patent, and emphasizes its economic benefit, market share, social benefit and development prospect.
