Recently, China’s Ministry of Education released a list of the 3rdbatch of state-level high-quality sharing courses, on which JU’s 4 courses (Microbial Genetics and Breeding: Course Director Prof. Li Huazhong;Food Chemistry: Course Director Prof. Yang Ruijin;Spinning Theory: Course Director Prof. Xie Chunping;Woven Theory: Course Director Prof. Wang Hongbo) were successfully selected. All the courses admitted will be put on “National Icourse” (http://www.icourses.edu.cn/) as China Universities Resource Sharing Courses, with free access to the public. So far, there are 12 courses of JU being selected as the national high-quality open courses.As an integrate part of the national High-quality Open Courses program, High-quality Sharing Courses construction aims at improving the transition of educational and teaching concept, guides the reforming of course content and methods, and promotes joint construction and sharing of high-quality courses resources among institutions through modern information technology, so as to improve the quality of talent cultivating and to serve the building of learning-oriented society. These selected courses of JU embody the concept of JU’s advanced education, distinctive disciplinary features as well as exquisite teaching techniques, and are designed to effectively meet the demands of college teachers and students as well as the public. JU will take this as a good opportunity to construct the distinctive high-quality open course resource and to achieve JU’s sustainable development, and, above all, regards it as the main channel to realize JU’s social responsibility.
