Recently, the “Information Disclosure of Higher Education” program, accredited by 21 Century Educational Research Institute, released a report--The Issurance of Appraisal and Rating based on Annual Report on Employment Quality of China’s Institutions of Higher Learning,which assesses 75 universities directly under China’s Ministry of Education with their graduate employment based on the “Annual Report of Employment Quality” released on the websites of these universities. In this report, Jiangnan University (JU) was ranked tied NO.26.

The report is an evaluation with these universities on the completeness of the content, the openness of the information and the reliability of those graduate employment reports released.

In November, 2013, Office Department of China’s Ministry of Education issued anAnnouncement on compiling annual reports on Graduate employment Quality, requiring universities concerned to complete the compilation and release of their annual report on their graduates’ first employment by the end of February, 2014. With a purpose of “a timely reply to social concern, acceptation of social supervision, establishment and improvement of the evaluation system for the employment of graduates from institutions of higher learning”, these reports were to reflect the basic information, the main features, development tendencies and feedbacks to education as well as teaching.

On the basis of graduate employment reports published by these universities, the “Information Disclosure of Higher Education” program panel did the tracking study of these reports and finished this report.
