Graduation Project (thesis) plays an important role in talent cultivation program of institutions of higher education, and serves as a significant part for teaching to cultivate students’ comprehensive capacity of applying specialized knowledge, theories and skills, to analyze and solve problems, and to develop the competence for basic scientific research. In order to substantially boost students’ innovation and practice, Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education carries out the annual appraisal and spot check on graduation projects (thesis) among the institutions of higher education in Jiangsu Province. Based on the recommendations from these institutions, it yielded altogether 50 first prizes, 150 second prizes, 409 third prizes and 152 Excellent Graduation Project(design) Teams in 2013.
In recent years, JU continues to enhance the process management in undergraduates’ graduation projects (thesis), reinforce the construction and implementation of criterion for graduation projects (thesis). With each school of JU perfecting their administrative system and supervisors intensifying their instructions, the overall quality of graduation project (thesis) has been steadily increasing.
