On the morning of May 18, Municipal Party Committee and People’s Government of Gaoyou held a grand activity titled “A Promotion Year for Talent Aggregation in Qin You Area” and “Attracting Hundreds of Experts to Gaoyou”. Leaders from Gaoyou municipal government including Han Fang, Secretary of municipal party Committee of Gaoyou, Fang Guilin, the Mayor of Gaoyou, leaders and scholars from institutions of higher learning like JU, Dalian Polytechnic, Yangzhou University and Chongqing University gathered together, seeking cooperation and mutual development. During the event, on behalf of JU, Assistant President Gu Zhenbiao signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement with People’s Government of Gaoyou, aiming at building up an overall cooperative relation of production, education and research.

JU has long maintained a favorable cooperative relation with Gaoyou government and its local enterprises including Qiwu Aquatic Production Co. Ltd, Fengyuan Fungus Co. Ltd, Hongxin Biological Production Co. Ltd, Qinyou Biological Technology Co. Ltd, Kaier International Chemical Engineering Group Corporation, Jin Lida Fodder Co. Ltd, Chuangxin Packaging Co. Ltd and Yonghui Textile Mill Co. Ltd. According to this agreement, more than ten of these enterprises are on the list, covering multi-disciplinary fields like food technology, biology, chemical engineering, textile and machinery. The signing of the contract will further the comprehensive S&T cooperation between JU and Gaoyou thus realize “Alliance Between Giants”. While injecting vitality and stamina for the sustainable development of Gaoyou’s economy and society, this cooperation will provide a platform for JU’s talent cultivation, scientific research and development as well as social service. Also, this is an important approach and an effective way to promote the bilateral interaction and progress for a win-win result.
