According to a recently issuedThe Nomination List of 2012 national outstanding doctoral dissertations, two doctoral dissertations recommended by Jiangnan University (JU) are on the list. They are:Woven Fabric Structure Parameter Identification Based on Digital Image Processing, written by Pan Ruru, a Textile Science and Engineering major supervised by Professor Gao Weidong;The Application of High Voltage Pulsed Electric Fields on Liquified Egg Sterilization and Its Mechanism of Action on Microorganism and Protein,written by Zhao Wei, a Food Science and Engineering major supervised by Professor Yang Ruijin.
The National Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation is a top annual national award administered by the Degree and Postgraduate Education Division, China’s Ministry of Education, and less than 100 outstanding PhD theses are nominated for further competition, aiming at promoting high-level innovative talent cultivation and the quality of doctoral education in China. JU has by far won three national best PhD theses and six nominated papers in the yearly competition. Encouraged by the accomplishment, JU will continue to advocate a work-hard and creative spirit of study and research, in order to make more achievements in postgraduate education.
