A delegation led by Feng Biao, Vice President of JU, paid a visit to Ming Chuan University, Soochow University and Yunlin University of Science and Technology in Taiwan from April 22thto 27th, making a discussion around cooperation, communication and students exchange. Cui Baotong, Director of Academic Affairs Office, Fang Yun, Executive Deputy Dean of Honors School, Gong Xiaobin, Dean of School of Foreign Studies, Cao Jusheng, Deputy Dean of Science School and Yang Cheng, Deputy Dean of Chemical and Material Engineering School were in company.
In Ming Chuan University, the delegation visited history gallery, art center, classrooms of general educational resources, situational teaching environment in School of Education and Applied language, information networks, Digital Teaching Management Center, Financial Research Center and student dormitory. They were impressed by the distinctive E-campus, especially the digital teaching platform system characterized with strong interactivity and frequent utilization, which integrates multifunction of interaction, courseware uploading, homework assignment, submission and review. The record of each is regarded as an essential part to evaluate teaching and learning.
The delegation was shown to General Education Center, Teaching Resource Center and E-learning Center, Teacher Training Center and Teacher Digital Studio around Soochow University, where the concept of cultivating talents with unyielding integrity and flawless morality from the nature and saints, as well as the human-centered environment left a deep impression to the delegation.
Finally, the delegation came to Yunlin University of Science and Technology to visit campus, library, art center, Teaching Research Support Center, Audio-visual Resource Center, School of Design, Design Innovative Technology Research & Development Center.
During the visit, the delegation learned from the three universities about the knowledge in general education on undergraduates, basic course teaching, excellent teacher training and excellent education and visited the teaching facilities afterwards. The host universities count human-centered concept and the instruction which is fun, real and academic-oriented.
