The accreditation of Natural Science Foundation (NFS) 2012 now comes to an end. On Aug.19, the foundation issued online the list of winners, among which Jiangnan University (JU) was showered with honors.

This year, JU applied to NFS for 450 projects altogether, 101 of them awarded. Out of 101 there were 1 key project, 48 national projects and 52 youth-fund projects. Compared to 81 that won last year, in 2012 the number increased by 24.7%. The funds awarded amounted to 52.4 million RMB, which is 36.4% more than 38.415 million last year. This is a successive rise. JU is proved enhancing the fundamental research in natural science and indicating a boom in the development of science and research. (Ken)
