Recently, China’s Ministry of Education released a list of The First Batch of Nationally Planned Regular Higher Education Undergraduate Textbooks for "Twelve Five-year Plan", on which five textbooks written by faculty members of Jiangnan University (JU) can be found. They areFermentation Engineering Experimental Technique (Second Edition)by Chen Jian, Du Guocheng and Zhang Dongxu,Food Technologyby Xia Wenshui,Organic Chemistry Experimentby Liu Xiang and Liu Shirong,Product Semanticsby Zhang Linhao, andProduct Packaging Designby Wang Anxia. In addition,Weaving, jointly written by Prof. Gao Weidong from JU and Prof. Zhu Sukang from Donghua University, is also on the list.

Over the years, JU has been emphasizing on the construction of teaching materials, and taking measures to score a batch of high-level textbooks with up-to-date content and high quality.
