It’s a great honor for Jiangnan University to be among list of the First Batch of Pilot Units of Information-based Education (Jiao Ji Han【2012】No.70） released by the Ministry of Education, on November 15th,2012.
The program JU declared is Exploration on Digital Campus Learning Eco-system Facilitating Students’ All-round Development. In accordance with JU’s cultivating model of creative professionals and integrating all learning resources and facilities, based on the network interactive learning community—“e Jiangnan”, the program is aiming to create an innovative students-centered campus learning eco-system which helps to arrange the resources and places for learning, link the teachers with students into a community, enhance their information literacy, diversify learning methods and increase the efficiency.
In recent years, JU attached further momentum to the work on information-based education. JU has laid out the relatively constructive guidelines, regulations and schemes, and for the first time, held a conference for it. Directed by the leading group of information construction, a diverse of management systems are served or upgraded online successively, high-quality educational resources are enriched continually and various auxiliary facilities are optimized progressively. Thus, information literacy of teachers and students is promoted constantly. In one word, informatization has already demonstrated its initial push on educational and teaching reform of JU.
