Nov. 12thwitnessed the opening of symposiumon construction of joint-training platform combined by Government, Enterprises, University and Institute for national-wide professional talents in Internet of Things. Leaders and experts from home and abroad in this field attended the meeting. Vice President Feng Biao chaired the symposium.
The symposium started with the welcome remarks delivered by President Chen Jian, who on behalf of JU to extend the warm welcome to the present officials and distinguished guests. And then a brief introduction on training talents of Internet of Things in our university was followed. He also affirmed the research results achieved bySchoolofInternetof Things(SIT). Vice Mayor Tan Xueming thought highly of the importance of this symposium in his speech, and stated that being the “center to perceive China”,Wuxiwill provide strong support in developing a platform of professional training in Internet of Things. Wu Aihua, Vice Director of Technology Department of Higher Education, made a speech to briefly introduce the training program conducted both by enterprises and universities. The symposium carried out under the theme of “the development of talents training on internet of things”
After the symposium, representatives paid a visit toSITand exchange ideas in laboratory equipment and developing innovation base for students of internet of things. This symposium has promoted the friendship among universities and enterprises, and made a prediction on the development prospect in training and cultivating talents of internet of things. It is stated thatWuxigovernment, surrounding business, and SIT will cooperate to find new opportunities and blaze a new way in training the talents.
