In Nov. 17^th– 19^th, 2010, the Jiangsu Doctoral Forum on next-generation industrial biotechnology was held in our university. The forum was organized by the Provincial Education Office. More than 80 doctors fromYangzhouUniversity, Nanjing University of Technology, Jiangsu University, andJiangnanUniversitywere present in this forum.

The opening ceremony was held in Maotai Hall of School of Biotechnology at 8:30 on Nov 18^th. Right after a brief opening ceremony, the present experts made reports around the forum theme to show the recent research achievement in the field of biotechnology and the future development. The whole successful process made an atmosphere of innovative research, exchange and cooperation, which has aroused many young scholars’ passion for academic research.

This forum has provided these doctors in biotechnology with a golden opportunity to share the latest research findings and learn from each other, and promoted friendship as well, laying a solid foundation for further exchange and cooperation.
